SmartAir Pro automatically detects the PM (particulate matter) down to 2.5 microns (hence PM2.5), and this is what shows on the display.
For reference, a human hair is 70 microns, or 30 times larger and the smallest detectable particle.
The digital display changes with colors as well, so you'll easily see the quality of your air. See below for the display information.

We made SmartAir with medical-grade HEPA 13 filters, compact high quality activated carbon filters, PCO, and UV-C light to not just filter but to destroy pathogens on a molecular level.
Medical Grade HEPA 13: For dust, pollen, germs, and mold.
The HEPA 13 filter removes up to 99.95% of dust, pollen, germs, mold, down to particles the size of 0.3 Microns.
Activated Carbon: For odors, pet odor, bad smells, smoke, air pollutants (VOCs).
The activated carbon filter is for gases, working through a process called "absorption" - where pollutants and toxic gases are trapped inside.
PCO Purification: For allergens, germs, viruses, gases.
PCO (Photocatalytic Oxidation) is considered an "Advanced Oxidation Nanotechnology".
SmartAir uses free radicals released from the activated carbon filter to continuous deactivation of viruses and bacteria.
This works to remove toxic gases on a molecular level, and will destroy any lingering spores inside SmartAir, ensuring you get only the best air quality.
UV-C disinfection: For allergens, viruses, bacteria, molds.
UVC light is a proven disinfection method designed to kill or inactive allergens, viruses, bacteria, and mold.
SmartAir uses UV-C light as the final layer, sanitizing the air before it releases back into the air, ozone free.
